Méthalac is an autonomous decentralized family type business that has been specialized in the design, construction, maintenance and biological monitoring of agricultural and agro-industrial biogas plant for 10 years.
The Group has leveled itself as a leader in the biogas industry with a strong growth and 10 new units built per year throughout Europe and abroad, particularly driven by the establishment of its subsidiary in the United States, its representative office in Montreal, its team in Madrid and its recent integration into the multinational group VINCI ENERGIES.
Our history
Laurent PAUCHARD – Founder and CEO of Méthalac :
“Son of a farmer, I was raised on a farm in the north of France. After obtaining my degree in agricultural engineering, I decided to develop industrial biogas in order to help farmers diversify their income while producing green energy.
In 2009, as the concept of agricultural biogas was not yet developed in France, I went to Germany, where they were more advanced in this process for training. In 2012, back to France, I created the company Méthalac.
Biogas is a complex business in constant evolution but the key attributes shared by the whole team are passion, expertise and commitment to the customer.”
Our team is organized into an engineering department (engineers and industrial designers), a biology department, and a maintenance department with delocated technicians specialized in installation, operation (automation specialists), service. Méthalac offers service contracts and spare part supply to biogas plants in operation.
